PROJECT MANAGER

 

Location:  Orange County (Irvine, CA)

Position: Full-time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

SUMMARY

Project managers will build on their knowledge of project documentation, low voltage electrical design, project financials and upon their relationships with vendors, customers and colleagues to oversee and control production and construction of the projects, aligning project goals and coordinating resources.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiates, fosters and maintains connections necessary to facilitate project activities and foster future, ongoing business opportunities, specifically focused on project manager to project manager relationship with clients
  • Manages and controls all financial aspects of their projects, including project budget and monthly projections
  • Exhibits and consistently displays knowledge of and intimate familiarity with the scope required on their projects and is aware of relevant contract provisions imposing requirements on project management
  • Effectively manages project schedule and provides customer with timely notice of cost and schedule impacts
  • Pro-actively manages changes to project scope and ensures impacts of changes are effectively communicated to customer and associated costs are timely submitted and appropriately compensated for
  • Intimate familiarity and experience with pricing changes on projects
  • Utilizes company’s established processes and tools and resources available for project management on a consistent basis
  • Monitors, directs and manages all aspects of a project to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget through effective management of the resources available
  • Monitors performance of the rest of the project management team and delegates tasks as appropriate based on demonstrated capabilities and skills of each party

 

EXPERIENCE

7-10 years’ experience in the electrical contracting industry
